0. Discovery & Feasibility

Every project begins with listening.

We work closely with you to understand not only the practical requirements of the project, but also what inspires you—your interests, references, and the way you experience space, art, and the world around you. This dialogue often reveals the spark that becomes the starting point for the design.

At the same time, we gather and study the conditions that shape the project: the site, its geography and context, applicable regulations, and technical constraints. We visit the site, review codes, and identify what additional information is needed to test feasibility.

1. Define the Concept

Before coordination, drawings, or major commitments, we define the architectural idea.

Through conversation, research, and exploration, we shape the project’s purpose, identity, and experience. This phase translates ideas and intentions into spatial thinking—relationships between spaces, scale, geometry, material presence, and the overall character of the building.

The concept sets a clear direction that informs layouts, massing, and three-dimensional form as the project develops.

2. Design the Space

We develop the project through space, form, materiality, light, and movement.

Using hand sketches, physical models, studies, renderings, and drawings, we refine layouts and three-dimensional geometry while exploring how the space will function and feel. Throughout this phase, we ask the right questions, listen carefully, and maintain open dialogue so the design evolves collaboratively.

3. Coordinate & Prepare the Project to Be Built

As the design takes shape, we coordinate it with all required consultants and systems.

We work closely with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and specialty consultants to ensure that all technical systems are coherent with the architecture. This phase includes permitting, code compliance, and the development of coordinated drawings and documents used for construction.

Our focus is on clarity, consistency, and alignment—so technical requirements support the architectural intent rather than compromise it.

4. Construction Support

Architecture continues through construction.

We remain involved during construction to review shop drawings, material samples, substitutions, and site conditions. We collaborate with contractors, fabricators, and consultants to resolve questions efficiently and thoughtfully as they arise.

Clear communication and availability are central to this phase—we support both the client and the project team as the building is realized.
